“The EU has no other options but a closer cooperation with the US on technology,” said Vice Minister of National Defence Margiris Abukevičius in Paris, and emphasized that international impact could be achieved only through cooperation with partners.
The second day of Vice Minister’s visit to Paris was dedicated to cybersecurity and technology geopolitics. M.Abukevičius spoke at Paris Cyber Week events, met with representatives of the National Assembly, and ANSSI Director General Guillaume Poupard.
M. Abukevičius underscored that access to advanced technologies was a matter of national security, for which reason we needed to choose partners and suppliers responsibly and to prevent dependence on Chinese technologies.
In the discussion on the possible measures the EU could apply to increase its cyber resilience, Vice Minister presented Lithuania’s examples.
