On January 29-30 Minister of National Defence Robertas Kaunas will take part in a Baltic Defence Ministerial (3B0 meeting. Ministers will discuss the agenda of the NATO Defence Ministers’ meeting upcoming in February, status of joint regional events, the transatlantic bonds and assistance to Ukraine.
Ministers will also discuss development of defence industry and capability enhancement.
The most intense collaboration among the Baltic states in the recent years encompass cooperation on officer training at the Baltic Defence College and joint development of the Baltic Defence line, a complex of counter-mobility measures spanning the eastern border of NATO to strengthen security of the border with Russia and Belarus. The countries also join efforts seeking EU funding for implementation of a six-member initiative Eastern Flank Watch.
