On April 4-5 Minister of National Defence Raimundas Karoblis will take part in a Bucharest Nine (B9) Defence Ministers meeting in Warsaw at the invitation of Defence Ministers of Poland and Romania.
At the meeting Defence Ministers of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary, and their delegates will discuss security situation in the region, and aspects of NATO initiatives and projects. Just as every year representatives of the United States and NATO will take part in the meeting as guests.
The B9 initiative is a political cooperation platform for nine Central and Eastern European countries to strengthen the Euro-Atlantic security.
