On May 22–23 Minister of National Defence Dovilė Šakalienė will take part in the Baltic Defence Ministers’ Committee (B3) in Estonia. The Ministers will discuss the status of the joint regional projects, safeguarding the critical undersea infrastructure, strengthening the European defence capabilities and industry, the transatlantic bond and aid to Ukraine.
The Minister will also address the agenda of the upcoming NATO Summit in The Hague which features increased defence spending as a priority.
The Baltic states have been particularly intensely developing the cooperation in the areas of officer training in the Baltic Defence College, building of the Baltic Defence Line, countermobility measures along the eastern border on NATO to improve security of NATO’s borders with Russia and Belarus.
