Minister of National Defence Laurynas Kasčiūnas has left for Poland to attend celebration of the 25th anniversary of the HQ Multinational Corps Northeast (HQ MNC NE).
During the visit a Letter of Intent will be signed with Ministers of Defence of Poland, Germany and Denmark to open negotiations for Lithuania to become the fourth MNC NE framework nation. As a framework nation Lithuania would be able to integrate the currently developed national division to MNC NE capabilities and appoint officers to top positions of command.
Tomorrow, September 27, Minister will be on a visit to Latvia where he will attend Polish-Baltic Defence Ministers’ meeting in Daugavpils dedicated to subject-matter of the Baltic Defence Line development.
