On April 21 Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas will travel to Germany to attend the Rasmtein Group meeting. The format hosted by U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin brings together Ministers of Defence and representatives of the Armed Forces of the countries that support Ukraine.
The 11th meeting of the so-called donor states will review the course of the Russian war in Ukraine and name the most recent Ukraine’s requirement for weaponry. The participants will announce the most recent assistance packages and defence industry projects designed to assist Ukraine.
The Ministry of National Defence has already delivered up to EUR 454 million worth military assistance to Ukraine. The military assistance transferred in 2023 includes military equipment and vehicles, military personnel training, medical treatment and rehabilitation and financial contributions to international funds.
The Ukraine Defense Contact Group was established by the initiatives of the United States last April. Last time the meeting took place in the format was as recently as this March.
