On March 8 Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas discussed security situation in the region and international and bilateral defence cooperation at a meeting with Ambassador of Slovakia to Lithuania HE Ladislav Babčan.
“We thank Slovakia for its input into a stronger security of our region. The Slovak participation in the NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battalion Battle Group in Latvia significantly contributes to the NATO deterrence and defence in our region wand that sends a clear message – the NATO alliance is united, ready, and capable of defending the Alliance and its eastern borders,” Minister said.
Minister and Ambassador also exchanged views on deployments to international operations and measures to counter disinformation and propaganda. According to Minister, disinformation is one of the most relevant forms of hybrid warfare to our country and public education is one of the main instruments to fight disinformation and propaganda.
