Lithuania marks the 17th anniversary in NATO

Flag hoisting ceremony 17 years ago and today

On March 29 a flag hoisting ceremony was held in front of the Ministry of National Defence to mark the 17th anniversary of Lithuania NATO membership. The Honour Guard Company raised the flags of Lithuania and NATO to the tunes of the anthems of the Republic of Lithuania and of NATO performed by the Lithuanian Armed Forces Band. Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas, Chief of Defence of Lithuania Lt Gen Valdemaras Rupšys, members of the Ministry and the Armed Forces community.
