On October 30–November 5 NATO Air Policing Mission Detachment fighter aircraft were scrambled once to intercept aircraft of the Russian Federation violating flight rules in international airspace over the Baltic Sea.
On November 5 NATO Air Policing fighter jets identified and escorted one AN-26 en route from the mainland of the Russian Federation to Kaliningrad. It had no pre-filed flight plan, the crew kept the onboard transponder switched off and did not maintain radio communication with the regional air traffic control centre.
