On May 22 Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas will be visiting capital of Poland to attend the Northern Group Defence Ministers’ meeting in Warsaw.
The Ministers will discuss the security situation in the Baltic Sea and North Atlantic regions, Russia’s war in Ukraine and preparations for the upcoming NATO Summit in Vilnius.
Northern Group meetings are attended by heads of defence of Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, United Kingdom, Latvia, Poland, Lithuania, Norway, Netherlands, Germany, Finland and Sweden. Such meetings are held to address mutual interests.
The Northern Group complements the set of bilateral and multilateral defence formats Lithuania takes part in.
