On June 9 rotational U.S. Army battalions in Lithuania will hold a casing and uncasing of colors ceremony at the General Silvestras Žukauskas Taining Area at Pabradė.
The overtaking rotation is formed by the 1s t Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, U.S. Army (1-66).
The new battalion takes over from the 3rd Battalion, 66th Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, U.S. Army which has been deployed in Lithuania with equipment since last autumn.
As a result of the changed security situation, the 3-66 rotation was extended and strengthened with additional force in February.
