The Lithuanian Air Forces has brought the Bayraktar TB2 tactical drone with ammunition from Türkiye to Lithuania: called by the name of Hawk by popular vote, the UAV has been armed and will soon be transferred to the Ukrainian fighters.
Baykar, a manufacturer of Türkiye, gave the latest configuration Bayraktar TB2 to Lithuania free of charge in early June, inspired by the successful charitable fundraising by Lithuanian citizens. The Ministry of National Defence bought missiles with EUR 1.5 million of the donated EUR 5.9 million for it and now the full shipment has been brought to the Air Base in Šiauliai.
