The equipment fleet of the Lithuanian Armed Forces has been strengthened with an addition of medium-duty Bison D 370 aircraft tow tractors manufactured by Germany’s Goldhofer. One such piece is worth approx. EUR 171 thousand.
The new equipment will be used for towing aircraft and maintenance equipment around the airport territory in all weather conditions. The powerful towing capacity of the new purchase supports most of the Lithuanian Armed Forces and NATO aircraft towing function.
Lithuania commits over 45 percent of defence budget, or nearly EUR 1 billion, for upgrading the Lithuanian Armed Forces in 2024.
