In mid-December the Lithuanian Armed Forces received the first shipment of state of the art LP5X aiming lasers and BPS14 night visions monoculars. It will significantly improve defensive capabilities of the country.
The laser sights and night vision monoculars worth of over EUR 17 million are bought from Brolis Semiconductors UAB. The equipment is planned to be delivered to the Lithuanian Armed Forces in 2024–2025.
Brolis LP5X aiming lasers developed and manufactured in Lithuania are the most advanced devices of their kind on NATO market and in used in a major part of NATO, some have already put the equipment in the standard individual tactical equipment set.
Defence acquisitions are conducted to involve Lithuanian manufacturers to keep a significant part of the spending in Lithuania’s economy, as well as to shorten supply chains and respond expeditiosly to equipment malfunctions.
