“We must provide everything what is possible and even impossible right now, today. Later will be too late. Lithuania is giving to Ukraine all we can,” said Minister of National Defence at the video teleconference of European Union Ministers of Defence meeting on February 28.
“I am In touch with Minister of Defence of Ukraine almost on a daily basis, he continues requesting international support – and we all know what it is that Ukraine now needs most. Lithuania is already sending to Ukraine all we can,” said A. Anušauskas.
Minister welcomed the decision to use the European Peace Facility funds for Ukraine and thanked Minister of Defence of Poland Mariuš Blaščak for Poland’s support as a logistical point in delivering the assistance to Ukraine.
“Ukraine will fight and prevail. The EU and NATO have to start the planning on rebuilding the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At his moment, Ukraine is paying its blood for our freedom and values,” spoke Minister A. Anušauskas.
