The Ministry of National Defence and the Lithuanian Armed Forces will borrow 200 units of new G-36 assault rifles for State Border Guard Service officers. The decision was taken to ensure that Lithuanians officers watching over the borderline between Lithuania and Belarus have up-to-date equipment.
“We want the modern weaponry borrowed by the Armed Forces to be dedicated to the state border guard sections that are facing the biggest challenges at the moment,” says Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas.
