On December 3 NATO fighter aircraft intercepted one IL-20 flying from mainland Russia to Kaliningrad, according to a pre-filed flight plan, kept radio communication, its onboard transponder was off.
On December 5 NATO air policing fighter jets intercepted one TU-134 flying from Kaliningrad to mainland Russia. It had a pre-filed flight plan, its onboard transponder was on, the crew maintained radio communication with the regional air traffic control centre.
