On November 12–13 Vice Minister of National Defence Edvinas Kerza conducted a formal visit to France and met with representatives of institutions overseeing cybersecurity, took part in the Paris Peace Forum.
Vice Minister met with representatives of institutions responsible for cybersecurity, industry and media outlets at the Forum. He presented the most recent research into cybersecurity incidents of Lithuania at a discussion organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to France on security.
“We and France see cyber threats the same way and we have a strong reciprocal interest to cooperate on the area,” E. Kerza said.
The meetings also addressed the Lithuanian leadership in developing cyber rapid response teams and stepping up of France’s involvement in the project – currently France has observer’s rights in the project for development of cyber response teams. Other topics discussed were security of 5G infrastructure and the drafted EU recommendations for risk mitigation.
