Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas will travel to Estonia today to attend an event at Tapa Air Base co-organized by Estonia and the United Kingdom held to address military assistance to Ukraine with participation of representatives from 17 countries.
Ministers of Defence or their delegates will be discussing further support to Ukraine, possibilities to speed up and expand it, assess the possibility to provide tanks, armored vehicles and other heavy equipment. The meeting will conclude by announcing the plans of further military assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine encouraging less active countries to step up the contribution to support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in intensity and scope.
The meeting will take place on the eve of the Ramstein format Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting on January 20, Friday, where Minister A. Anušauskas will be present alongside representatives of other countries supporting Ukraine.
