On January 14-15 Minister of National Defence Dovilė Šakalienė will be visiting The Hague, the Netherlands, where she will attend the “Baltic Defence Line: Strengthening Defence on the NATO Eastern Flank” event of the Hague Centre for Strategic Studies and speak at its strategic panel “The politics of the Baltic Defence Line and NATO‘s defence posture.” Minister will also take part in the Baltic-Dutch Defence Ministers on security of NATO Allies’ undersea infrastructure, strengthening European security, assistance to Ukraine and other topics.
The Minister will meet with the Defence Committee on the Parliament of the Netherlands, a bilateral meeting with Minister of Defence Ruben Brekelmans has been scheduled. Ministers are planned to discuss regional security, defence spending and air defence.
