On May 2 through 6 Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas will be conducting a visit to the United States of America to attend a conference organized by the Ministry of National Defence in partnership with the Atlantic Council analytical centre in Washington.
The conference will address the agenda of the upcoming NATO Summit in Vilnius, implementation of the NATO forward defence, and enhancement of security in the eastern flank of the Alliance. Minister will share insights at the event about the regional security situation, collective defence commitments and support to Ukraine.
The conference comes as part of the cooperative activities laid out in the agreement between the MoD and the Atlantic Council for 2023.
During the visit to Washington, A. Anušauskas will also have meetings with U.S. Department of Defense officials and other representatives of the U.S. security and defence community.
