Minister of National Defence Dovilė Šakalienė will be on a visit in Brussels on April 9–11. She will attend meetings of the Coalition of the Willing for security guarantees and support to Ukraine, Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) and the Ukraine Defence Contact Group.
Defence Ministers of the Coalition of the Willing, the group of countries assembled by France and the United Kingdom, will discuss plans and possibilities for assistance to Ukraine. It expected to share the news on progress made in the earlier CHOD-level consultations between Coalition members.
On April 11 the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, chaired by British Secretary of State for Defence John Healey and Federal Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius, will meet at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels. The meeting will address Ukraine’s most pressing military needs that need to be met in support of Ukraine and the countries’ long-term commitments.
