Lithuania continues providing unwavering military aid to Ukraine. Halfway through into the week, trucks and spare parts for M113 for the Armed Forces have reached Ukraine.
Majors directions of assistance this year are planned to be for urgent needs (air defence, ammunition, drones, drone jamming equipment) while simultaneously developing the Lithuanian defence industry and support to Ukraine’s defence industry by financing weaponry production in Ukraine.
Lithuania will also be contributing to the Capability Coalition for Demining that it leads together with Iceland, as well as to other capability coalition it is a member of. Military assistance will also be transferred via international funds and collective initiatives, medical rehabilitation aid to injured Ukrainian troops and training to Ukrainian military personnel will continue to be provided.
Since the breakout of the war, Lithuania has delivered to Ukraine military assistance worth of EUR 768 million. Lithuania’s overall support for Ukraine for the long-haul has exceeded a billion and a half euros.
