A new package of Lithuania assistance has been delivered to Ukraine: on November 22 the Lithuanian Armed Forces transported and transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine 3 million pieces of 7.62×51 mm ammunition, remote detonation systems and cold winter gear.
“Our commitment to Ukraine remains steadfast. Our assistance packages are formed to respond to Ukraine’s key priorities and needs. The ammunition, remote detonation systems and gear for adverse winter conditions is a tangible boost of Ukraine’s resilience against the Russian aggression,” notes Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas.
Just over a week ago Ukraine received NASAMS launchers with related equipment bought by the Ministry of National Defence, and last week – power generators.
Apart from the equipment and gear donations, Lithuania also intensely provides training to the Ukrainian military, as well as medical treatment to injured troops, offers expert-level consultations, contributes financially to international assistance funds for Ukraine. In total, Lithuania’s military assistance to Ukraine is worth of approx. EUR 0.5 billion.
