Technology is changing warfare, driving innovation and rethinking strategic choices. Artificial intelligence, unmanned systems, 3D printing are changing the battlefield. The war in Ukraine has highlighted the need for continuous upgrading of military equipment. Improving defence technologies and adapting to the changing conditions of war is essential to avoid technological backwardness and to ensure that the armed forces are ready to face any threat.
The Defence technology conference “TechBatt: Technology on the Battlefield 2024” will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania, on June 11, 2024, and will be hosted by the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Lithuania and Defence Materiel Agency under the Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania. This conference is organised for the first time to discuss innovative approaches in defence technology development.
The conference will focus on drone detection and neutralisation systems, demining technologies, enhancing soldier survivability and aspects of electronic warfare, drawing on lessons learned from the Ukraine’s war. The event will bring together policy makers, defence industry leaders, innovation experts and researchers from all over the world. Representatives from Ukraine, SAAB, ST Engineering, THALES, WB Electronics, the European Defence Agency and others will share their insights on the latest defence technologies (Conference programme will be announced soon).
The event is free of charge, but the number of participants is limited. If you have any questions, please contact Simona Pūkiene at [email protected].
