On March 30 – April 5 fighter aircraft of the NATO Air Policing Detachment were scrambled in response to international flight regulation violations four times.
On March 30 NATO fighter aircraft conducting air policing in the Baltic airspace intercepted two SU-30SM flying from Kaliningrad and back through international airspace. Their onboard transponders were switched off, the crews had no flight plans and were not maintaining radio communication.
