A Russian T-72B neutralized by the Armed Forces of Ukrainians will be put on display in the approaches of the Cathedral Square of Vilnius. The war trophy is an excellence demonstration how unity, morale, sacrifice and our relentless support of Ukraine can fend off even a well-armed enemy.
“Every Russian tank must make a trophy of Ukraine. We must continue supporting Ukraine to bring the victory sooner. Lithuania has already rendered EUR 409 million in military support, the society is also an active supporter with donations for combat drones, radars. It shows how clearly we all understand the critical importance of this fight and its implications for the European security,” says Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas.
The Russians are estimated to have had over 2250 units of T-72B tanks of various modifications on the eve of the war. The Ukrainian forces have succeeded in capturing or destroying at least 450 units.
The trophy tank will be available for viewing in the Cathedral Square parking lot until March 16.
