On December 29 Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas will be on a visit tin France. Minister will meet with Minister of the Armed Forces of France Sebastien Lecorn in Paris.
A. Anušauskas and S. Lecornu will discuss acquisition of the Caesar Mark II wheeled self-propelled howitzers, bilateral cooperation , assistance to Ukraine and other key security and defence issues.
France is an important ally to Lithuania in security and defence. The French Air Force is for the first time conducting its ninth rotation of the NATO Air Policing Mission in the Baltic states with Dassault Rafale fighter aircraft, its most powerful air asset, time protecting. The French military is actively involved in the NATO eFP activities in the Baltic states and train with Lithuanian troops in exercises.
