The Lithuanian Armed Forces stocked up on the Spike LR2 missiles worth of over EUR 3 million. The implemented contract was signed with Germany’s Euro Spike GmbH.
“We deter russia and ensure peace to the country by further strengthening the Lithuanian Armed Forces and investing in ammunition stockpiles. There will be more Spike LR2 top-ups as the Lithuanian Armed Forces needs to be prepared and stocked up with advanced ammunition to the maximum,” says Minister of National Defence Robertas Kaunas.
Spike LR2 is a rapid response high fire-power anti-armor missile effective on tanks, armored equipment, buildings and other high-value targets. The Lithuanian Armed Forces uses the missiles with the Vilkas Infantry Fighting Vehicles giving them formidable fire power and added effective range.
