On June 15–21 the NATO Baltic Air Policing Detachment was alerted in response to international flight regulation violations four times.
On June 16 fighter aircraft of the NATO Air Poling Detachment were scrambled to intercept one SU-24MR flying from Kaliningrad and back via international airspace with its onboard transponder switched off, no flight plan, and not maintaining radio communication with the regional air traffic control centre. On the same scrabble, one TU-214 was also identified flying from mainland Russia to Kaliningrad with its onboard transponder on, no flight plan, but maintaining radio communication.
On June 19 NATO fighter jets were dispatched to identify and escort one SU-34 flying through international airspace from and back to Kaliningrad with its onboard transponder switched off, no flight plan, and not maintaining radio communication with the regional air traffic control centre.
On June 19 NATO fighter aircraft were scrambled to identify and escort one SU-30SM flying through international airspace from Kaliningrad and back with its onboard transponder switched off, without the flight plan and not marinating radio communication.
On June 20 NATO fighter aircraft were alerted in response to one AN-30, one SU-24MR and one SU-35. The aircraft were flying through international airspace from Kaliningrad to mainland Russia. Their onboard transponders were switched off, the crews had no flight plans and were not maintaining radio communication with the regional air traffic control centre.
