On July 1–7 fighter aircraft of the NATO Baltic Air Policing Detachment were scrambled twice to patrol international airspace over the Baltic Sea and three times to intercept aircraft of the Russian Federation violating flight rules in international airspace over the Baltic Sea.
On July 1 NATO fighter aircraft conducting the Baltic Air Policing Mission were scrambled to identify and escort one SU-30 flying through international airspace between locations in Kaliningrad, it had no pre-filed flight plan, the onboard transponder was switched off, radio contact with the regional air traffic control centre was not maintained.
On July 2 NATO fighter aircraft were patrolling in international airspace over the Baltic Sea.
On July 3 NATO fighter jets were scrambled to intercept one SU-24MR flying with its onboard transponder off, maintaining radio communication but without a flight plan, between locations in Kaliningrad through international airspace.

On July 4 NATO air policing fighter jets were scrambled to intercept one SU-24MR and one SU-30SM. The aircraft were flying from a location in Kaliningrad into international airspace and back to Kaliningrad. They had no pre-filed flight plans, the onboard transponders were switched off, the crews were not maintaining radio communication.
