On January 2 Vice Minister Orijana and Chancellor of the Ministry of National Defence Dainius Ivoškis started their duties in the team of Minister of National Defence Dovilė Šakalienė.
O. Mašalė will be responsible for oversight of stationing the German Brigade Litauen in Lithuania, Lithuanian Armed Forces infrastructure and logistical projects.
Vice Minister has 20 years of leadership experience. Lately she was the Chair of the Board of the Civil Aviation Association and Regitra AB, governance consultant, developed businesses in IT and AI areas.
At the time of the COVID-19 crisis O. Mašalė served as a member of the State Emergency Operations Centre. She also worked as a member of independent boards in different companies across the private and the public sector, counsellor to U.S. energy company Chevron Corp., a Fortune 500 Top 3 company, in Lithuania, head of the Marketing Department of the Scandinavian If Insurance Lithuania, Director of the Communication and International Relations Department at the National Audit Office of the Republic of Lithuania. The most marked area of expertise of O. Mašalė’s career is industry, technology, finance, risk management and strategic communication.
O. Mašalė graduated from Vilnius University, holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in European Studies at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science. Before that, she graduated the Kaunas University of Technology Gymnasium.

I am bringing my experience from the business and national audit so that we can avail of best practices in these areas to manage the vital national defence projects. I trust that we will collaborate successfully with the National Defence System professional, representatives of the public and private sectors to implement the infrastructure projects required for the Lithuanian Armed Forces,” says Vice Minister O. Mašalė.

Chancellor D. Ivoškis will be responsible for developing and implementing the Strategic MoD Action Plan, administrative and economic activity, data and classified information security, corruption prevention and control in the National Defence System, internal audit, and more.
D. Ivoškis has experience in different areas of public administration and private law. He recently served as Kelmė District Municipal Council member, D. Ivoškis also had worked as the Human Resources Manager/Lawyer, Kelmės Ligoninė PE, at a lawyer’s office, etc.
“I am certain that my legal expertise, leadership skills and understanding of the importance of national security will advance the interest of the Ministry of National Defence and will help to build a stronger state,” says D. Ivoškis.
D. Ivoškis holds the Master of Law from Vytautas Magnus University and an international Law Certificate From Michigan State University.
