On December 3 another two PzH2000 self-propelled howitzers were taken to Ukraine after undergoing repair in Lithuania, as well as part of the transferred ammunition. The 155 mm ammunition that Lithuania delivers is especially necessary for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its fight. The decision to transfer ammunition of such calibre was taken in the lasts National Defence Council.
Ukraine had received the two repaired howitzers with software from Germany and the Netherlands. It cost Lithuania nearly EUR 2 million to repair the howitzers and integrate their software into the ammunition matrix.
To date, the Ministry of National Defence has supplied Ukraine with military assistance in the form of different weapons, ammunition, thermo-imaging equipment, UAVs, drone jammers, personnel training, and every other kind of assistance matched with the requirement Ukraine voices.
