Lithuania continues rendering steady military assistance to Ukraine: two more PzH2000 self-propelled howitzers have been repaired in Lithuania and send to the Armed Forces of Ukraine earlier this week. They will soon join the fight against the military Russian aggression on the lines.
The maintenance services will continue: other two self-propelled howitzers are currently on their way to Lithuania for repairs and the subsequent return to the battlefield.
“We are supporting Ukraine in every way. Howitzers damaged in action are successfully fixed in Lithuania and send back to Ukraine. Our current plans for the activity foresee repairing at least 12 howitzers,” says Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas.
The howitzers and necessary software repaired by Lithuania have been supplied by Germany and the Netherlands. Lithuania has spent almost EUR 2 million on the howitzer repair and software integration into the ammunition matrix.
The assistance rendered to Ukraine by the National Defence System to date includes various weaponry, ammunition, thermo-imaging equipment, UAVs, anti-drone equipment, training courses, and every other assistance available asked by Ukraine.
