On June 30 – July 6 NATO Air Policing Detachment in the Baltic states was alerted to intercept aircraft of the Russian Federation violating international aviation regulations in international airspace over the Baltic Sea once.
On July 3 NATO air policing fighter jets were scrambled to intercept two SU-24M flying out of Kaliningrad and back via international airspace. Their onboard transponders were switched off, the crews had no flight plans and were not maintain radio communication with the regional air traffic control centre.
