The Cyber Security and Telecommunications Service under the Ministry of National Defence co-organised an international course on cyber security of industrial management systems with partners from the U.S. European Command (EUCOM) in Vilnius on July 17-20. The course was attended roughly 120 IT experts from different authorities and organisations of Lithuania and other NATO allies who are responsible for oversight of industrial, energy, water supply and heating, communications and other management systems.

Theoretical and practical industrial management systems course for Lithuanian and other NATO allies’ specialists was delivered by instructors with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and EUCOM. The practical part of the course familiarised participants with vulnerabilities of industrial systems, real threats, detection and response to them.

The Cyber Security and Telecommunications Service under the MoD that performs the function of National Cyber Security Centre cooperated closely with the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of Vilnius University which provided the academic infrastructure necessary for the organisations of the course.
