Lithuanian soldier experienced light injures in Kosovo

Military vehicle Honker driven by two Lithuanian soldiers got into an accident near Kacanik (Kosovo) on November 26. One of the soldiers split his head, the driver was not hurt. The soldiers received medical aid and return to continue service to the unit. Next to kin were notified about the accident.

 

Lithuanian soldiers were conducting a patrolling task in a vehicle of the Polish Armed Forces, it was damaged in the accident. The car slipped off the wet road and turned over trying to avoid collision.

 

At the moment Lithuanian platoon KFOR-19 formed of volunteer soldiers serves in Kosovo. Lithuanians operate under the NATO Joint Guardian operation in composition of the joint Polish-Ukrainian POLUKRBAT Battalion deployed in the US Camp Bondsteel. Lithuanian platoon is deployed in NATO KFOF control post on the border with Macedonia, it conducts patrols, quick reaction tasks, etc.
